They love your music. Now they want to know more about you. “They” can be anyone from club owners and fans to program directors and journalists. So what have you got for them?
Stories are everything. They provide the colors, shapes and emotions that make the picture complete. Whether you’re launching a sparkling new CD or announcing a world tour, it’s the story behind it –your story– that grabs their attention and inspires them to linger just a little longer. I’d love to help you tell it.
I offer a variety of writing services for musicians, bands, nightclubs and arts organizations. My arsenal includes web copy, artist bios, one sheets, press releases, newsletters, articles, blog posts and more. I’m handy with social media and absolutely love making noise about new projects. I consider it an honor and privilege to write for my musical peers. Working with me is comfortable and fun. Collaboration is mission critical. No matter the job, I take great care to get to know you, to listen to your music, to dig in and understand what you’re all about. My goal is to tell your story accurately and to shine a light on everything that is brilliant about you and your work.
I’ve been honing my writing chops for over three decades. As far as credentials go, I have a BA in English from the University of Iowa and a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Washington. Because I am also a working musician, I understand the dictates of the industry and can meet your needs accordingly. AP style? I’ve got it covered.
* No sooner had I come off hiatus when I fell and shattered my wrist. I’m presently in post-surgery recovery and not taking on new jobs at this time. I’m hopeful to resume services in the fall of 2019. I apologize for any inconvenience.
